Lakeshore Legal Aid is a not-for-profit law firm providing a wide range of free civil legal services to low income people and seniors in our communities.

The Mission of Lakeshore Legal Aid is to exercise all methods of legal advocacy and representation in order to:

· Empower people to address their legal rights and concerns,
· Provide access to the legal system and all community resources, and
· Preserve the dignity of our clients.

Lakeshore's attorneys are trained to provide legal advice and counseling, document review and preparation, negotiation, mediation, representation in court, legal education presentations to community groups, and referrals to other available community resources. Lakeshore's attorneys aim to improve the legal status of every client, and to ensure the clients and their families are safe and secure in their homes.

Lakeshore cannot provide legal assistance in criminal matters, and services may be limited by the number of attorneys and other resources available.
